To support those in the Armed Forces (both serving and retired) who have doubts and concerns about the war in Iraq and/or its conduct. To support those in the Armed Forces wanting to stand up against the war in Iraq.

Sion Simon

It was stated during the debate on the Armed Forces Bill 2006 in the commons on Monday (21/05/06) that the War/ Occupation of Iraq is legal because of a UN resolution. While this may be the case it does not mean that the conduct of the War/ Occupation is legal. But more on
that another time.

During the debate Sion Simon MP (Lab) had the arrogance to state that "it is not possible for this country's armed forces to launch or be involved in an illegal war. It has never happened, it will never happen, and it cannot happen. Only in the minds of mad conspiracy theorists does this country launch illegal wars. It is not possible, and that is why it is not accounted for in the Bill."????

I would like to invite the honourable member for Erdington to join me on a trip to Iraq. We will venture outside of that favourite haunt of western politicians "the Green Zone", he can then see for himself the true situation on the ground and whether or not this country is involved in an illegal war.

Hi Ben,
No UN resolution made the invasion of Iraq 'legal' and Sion Simon MP is but one more liar in the New Labour gang supporting the war criminal Blair.
Look at the lies given as 'reasons' to attack Iraq.
Iraq....
1. has nuclear weapons.
2. has chemical weapons.
3. has biological weapons.
4. is a threat to neighbouring countries.
5. can attack Britain within 48 minutes.
6. tried to get Yellow Cake (nuclear material) from Niger.
7. has long-range delivery (missile) systems.
8. supports and trains Al-Qaida terrorists.
9. is preventing UN inspectors from doing their work.
And, in addition,
10. Jack Straw -"No attack without a second UN resolution. No automaticity." (There was NO second resolution which accepted an invasion of Iraq)
11. Jack Straw - "UN resolution 1441 permits attack." (This resolution did no such thing!)
No, Sion Simon is just another lying New Labour 'nodding dog' fit only to sit on the parcel shelf at the rear of a family car.
However, remember that we only get the government we deserve for as long as we tolerate it.
